A hot topic on Twitter today is the news that Jay-Z and Kanye West are going to be performing in Birmingham and two other venues in the UK during the summer.

The pair of heavyweights from the world of hip-hop are set to bring the Watch the Throne collaboration to three major cities in the UK – London, Manchester and Birmingham. The first gig is scheduled for The 02 in London on May 20. The next two gigs follow in close succession as the show moves to the Manchester Evening News Arena for the performance on June 11, and then finally the pair will appear at the LG Arena in Birmingham on June 13. Tickets for the gigs are due to go on sale at 09.00 on Friday Ferbruary 24 and are expected to sell out almost immediately.

The hip-hop duo launched their first album entitled ‘The Throne’ in 2011 and there is talk of them releasing a second recording during 2012.
